Located on the SE corner of Overland Trail and North Hwy 287 in LaPorte, CO, The Bar Double S location has hosted beer drinkers and wayward travelers for over a hundred years. Fur trappers came here in the mid-1800’s followed by freighters and gold seekers en route to the gold fields of Denver in the 1860’s.

Today we proudly host some of the finest bluegrass, roots, country and americana musicians from our own back yard and around the globe. We offer a wide array of bar games on our patio, including horseshoes and ring swing. We carry a wide selection of craft and imported Belgian beers, not to mention some mighty fine spirits, which in these cold months of winter, are best enjoyed around our outdoor fire pit.

Whether you want to drive or ride (both types of bikes, horses and well-behaved mules are all allowed), we invite you to come out for some small town, laid-back good times.
